Woman assaulted

WITNESSES are sought regarding the alleged assault of a woman at a licensed venue in Swan Hill.

Police alleged the female was assaulted at 1am on December 5 on the upstairs dance floor of the premises.

“A group of female offenders have approached the victim, exchanged some words with her, thrown her to the ground, punched her, then taken her handbag,” a spokesperson said.

Witnesses are urged to contact First Constable Williams at the Swan Hill police station on 5036 1600.

Fisherman punched

A FISHERMAN was allegedly punched to the face on the bank of the Murray River in Robinvale last weekend.

Police said about 7.45am on December 4, the victim was fishing along the Murray River in Robinvale when they were approached by unknown offenders who punched the victim to the face.

They took the victim’s phone and a quantity of cash.

Hospital damage

A GLASS door at the Swan Hill hospital was damaged after being broken by a male offender early this week.

Police said the incident happened about 7.30pm on December 5.

Female punched and pushed

POLICE are investigating an alleged assault on a woman in Swan Hill early this month.

Officers said about 5.15pm on December 1 a woman was punched and pushed to the ground on Beveridge Street, Swan Hill.

Service station theft

A WOMAN was charged and bailed over an alleged theft from a service station in Swan Hill.

The 37-year-old allegedly stole from the Shell service station on Campbell Street.

Controlled weapon fine

A FINE was issued to a Nyah West man over the alleged possession of a controlled weapon.

The 59-year-old was issued the infringement notice over the incident on McCallum Street, Swan Hill.
