Vaccine needed to attend saleyards

ONLY people vaccinated against the coronavirus will be permitted into the Swan Hill saleyards, council has confirmed.

“In accordance with directions from the Chief Health Officer, vaccination status declaration will now be a requirement to gain entry into the Swan Hill Regional Livestock Exchange,” director of infrastructure Svetla Petkova said.

Anyone attending the saleyards were required to have had their first dose by October 15, or have an appointment booked to receive their first dose by today, October 22.

Attendees would need to be fully vaccinated by November 26.

Ms Petkova said the vaccine mandate applied to people involved in deliveries and pickups prior to and after sale events.

Masks and QR code scanning still remain mandatory on site.
