Key Swan Hill services continue in lockdown

VICTORIA’S COVID-19 lockdown has been extended to stamp out spread of the Delta variant.

The state’s initial five-day lockdown, from Thursday last week, has been extended to 11.59pm on Tuesday.

There are only five reasons to leave home: getting food and supplies, exercising for up to two hours, care or caregiving, work or education — if you can’t do it from home — or to get vaccinated.

Due to the level of COVID community transmission in Victoria, travel to Victoria using red zone permits was paused for at least a fortnight at midnight on Tuesday.

There are no changes to the current arrangements for border communities.

Shopping and exercise must be done within 5km of home or at the nearest location.

Face masks remain mandatory indoors (except when at home) and outdoors unless an exemption applies.

People wanting to enter Victoria from NSW without an exemption will be put on a return flight or placed in 14 days’ mandatory quarantine under the COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria program.

People entering Victoria from a red zone without a permit could be fined $5452.

South Australia has also been declared a red zone.

Changes have been made to Swan Hill Rural City Council services during the lockdown.
