What’s on in Swan Hill

FRIDAY

5-9pm: Swings and Strings Festival at Murray Downs Golf and Country Club. Meet the players, enjoy the village atmosphere and watch the pro’s longest drive comp. Enter a putting comp for cash, food stalls, drinks and live music featuring Tony Haley, 2 Blokes Unplugged and Drowning Sorrows. There will be a jumping castle and face painting for the kids. Free entry.

All evening: Live Music featuring ‘Band With No Name’ at Swan Hill Club.

SATURDAY

9am to noon: Anglican Boot Sale and Cottage Craft at the Anglican Function Centre. A large variety of stalls selling everything from books, household items, craft, fruit, honey, plants and vegetables. A barbecue and scones will also be held on the day.

6.30pm: Swan Hill Motor Racing Club, Sonic Speedway. Lighting Sprints, Wingless Sprints, Production Sedan’s ‘Cod King’ VSC Standard, Saloon’s VSC Sport Sedans, VSC Formula 500S. Gates open at 3.30pm and racing starts at 6.30pm. Bring cash in case EFTPOS is unavailable.

9pm: Live music featuring ‘That Guy’ at The Commercial Hotel.

9pm: Live music featuring ‘Elise Drake’ at The Federal Hotel.

SUNDAY

9am to 1pm: Christmas On Karinie at Karinie Street. A Christmas shopping opportunity with plenty of stall holders, kids face painting, barbecue breakfast and coffee available. Car parking at the saleyards.

9am to 11am: Food and Fibre Market at Mensforth Park, Tooleybuc. Showcasing local produce and products. Get involved if you have a passion, project, grow produce or make a product. Fabulous playground for the kids and amazing local produce and products. Everything from organic beetroot flowers and bulbs to honey.

11am: Park and Brag at the main street of Lake Boga. Park up from 11am. Just a gathering of like-minded people who want to show off their toys. Anything with a ‘Rumble.’ Cars, bikes, trucks, tractors… anything with an engine is welcome.

NOVEMBER 21

5-7pm: Christmas tree lighting in Swan Hill. Extended trading hours. Community event spreading holiday cheer and creating a vibrant, festive atmosphere for our community and visitors to enjoy. Activities include: Swan Hill cash grab, face painting, carols by Swan Hill City Band. There will be a kids activity hub by Bunnings and a visit from Santa and The Grinch.

7pm: Fundraiser at Showbiz Cinemas with movie Wicked. Swan Hill Theatre Group is holding a movie fundraiser. There will be door prizes and raffles. Tickets are $20 per person via trybooking.com/CUXJE

NOVEMBER 22 to 23

Brew & Chew Festival 2024 featuring Aussie rock legends The Rubens at Riverside Park. The line-up also includes: Kingswood, Benny Walker, Code 5, Good Times, Lune Ranger, The Robbie Williams Experience, Serious Fun, Seven Car Pileup, Shell Yeah and Sophie Kelly.
