Speed camera attack

AN occupant of a vehicle allegedly threw a full drink can at a mobile speed camera vehicle on the Murray Valley Highway at Castle Donnington.

The white dual cab 4WD with a black tray and canopy was travelling north toward Swan Hill when a passenger threw a can of Hard Solo at the vehicle.

The vehicle’s occupant documented the incident after hearing a thump.

Police were able to retrieve photos from the camera car but do not have complete details of the vehicle’s registration.

Leading Senior Constable Jodie Ebinger said civilians were employed to operate the speed camera vehicles, and it can be frightening for them to be subject to this sort of aggressive behaviour.

She asked anyone with information, who saw anything, or knows who the people involved were, to come forward to police.
