Have you ever wanted to retrace your family history?
Guest speaker Ian Itter will share his tips during the Swan Hill Genealogical and Historical Society’s monthly meeting tonight.
Mr Itter will share his expertise and provide advice for those seeking family history records from the United Kingdom (UK).
SHGHS publicity officer Jeanette Matthews said Mr Itter had recently returned from a trip to the UK where he had conducted family history research.
“A difficulty when tracing history overseas is often a lack of time,” she said.
“When you go as a general tourist you’re usually trying to fit your family history research in among other activities and researching can take a lot of time.
“Ian will share insights on how to access records in the UK and general tips to point people in the right direction.
