CRICKET officials are not worried about financial barriers when it comes to player safety.
Swan Hill and District Cricket Association president Ross Cleeland is confident players are thinking of their own safety when playing the sport and said financial costs shouldn’t get in the way of player health.
Recently, a coroner’s inquest into the death of Test cricketer Phil Hughes revealed a need for the sport to work with helmet manufacturers to improve neck protection and another look into what constitutes unfair and dangerous bowling.
