The ninth annual Murray Downs two bowls classic is finally here, and has hit the greens of the renowned Murray Downs Golf and Country Clubs this week.
With 126 players from 33 clubs across Australia, the men’s bowls competition is hosting teams from as far as Adelaide, Portland, Echuca/Moama, Bendigo, Deniliquin and other parts of NSW.
Murray Downs Bowls Club publicity officer Shirley Deola said the annual event is the biggest one of the division with a full field of players.
“Thanks to our green keeper Greg Cox, our three greens are in immaculate condition and all included in the wonderful surrounds of the golf and country club,” she said.
“We have turned on some good weather for the first day (Tuesday).”
