A new home will soon be built for the Swan Hill Men’s Shed which has outgrown its cramped, small base.
A grant of $55,700 from the State Government will see a new facility built at the rear of the Swan Hill Neighbourhood House on Gray Street.
The group provides an opportunity for men of all ages to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in the company of other men.
The grant, announced this week by Minister for Families and Children Jenny Mikakos, is part of a $1.2 million funding boost to build or refurbish 32 new or existing sheds across Victoria.
“The new shed will boost space for community programs and support the physical and mental wellbeing of locals,” Ms Mikakos said.
