VOLUNTEERS at the Swan Hill branch of the State Emergency Service are gleaming after the launch of their newest promotional tool for children — an electronic SES mini-buggy.
The buggy that “rocks and rolls” will be heading down to the Swan Hill Show to help promote and recruit volunteer members to the Swan Hill SES.
Sun Centre Auto Panels owner Ray Taylor volunteered his time and materials to fix up the buggy that was severely dilapidated.
“We asked Ray if he could paint it,” SES volunteer team leader Terry Fisher said.
“He did a really good job donating his time and materials.”
“We took it to Bunnings the other night so the kids could have a ride… the kids love it.”
Mr Fisher said the SES volunteers were extremely thankful for Mr Taylor’s support.
Mr Taylor said he was pleased to be of help to the SES given all the work they do for the community.
“I have dealt with these guys a fair bit when our business had tow trucks,” he said.
“At accidents we would help to support each other by removing damaged vehicles.
“We have a good working relationship, I support them where I can.”
