WOORINEN will head into the finals series full of confidence after fighting out a tough draw with ladder leaders Kerang.
The Tigers headed down the Murray Valley Highway with plenty of intent, and came home with plenty to cheer about.
While they were unable to nab the win, the Tigers now know they have a chance to go toe-to-toe with the best in the league.
The day started strongly for Kerang, with a three-goal first quarter.
They jumped to the lead in usual Blues style, but the Tigers were still thereabouts.
Both teams fought hard through the first quarter, but it as Woorinen who took an eight-point lead into the first break.
The Tigers came out of the blocks hard, wanting to prove to the league they had what it takes.
Marcus DeMaria’s men scrapped and began winning possession, eventually translating that into points.
The quarter ended with a new leader, with the Tigers up 5.7.37 to 5.4.34, annoyed at the chances they missed.
Kerang responded well and came out in the second half firing.
They did not let up on the Tigers, relentlessly heading into tough contests for the ball.
Troy Coates’ charges managed to level up the goal tally, and could have led by more if they shot straighter.
The final term was full of intensity and tough action.
With just minutes remaining, the Tigers and Kerang were still closely locked up in a battle for the win, with neither side wanting to head into the finals on a loss.
Neither side would as the siren sounded on the match, with both Kerang and Woorinen kicking 8.9.57.
