PREPARATIONS are underway for a group of Flexible Learning Options (FLO) students who will travel to Papua New Guinea and trek the Kododa Trail next month.
Students Chevawn Quigley, Nicholas Hulands, Anna Butt and Jake Cameron will embark on the trip with mentor Lea Andrews.
Ms Andrews said the students were in training for the challenging 96 kilometre hike, and were looking forward to the trip.
“We have six weeks to go and the training is going really well,” Ms Andrews said.
“We have been going out to Lake Tutchewop and walking (in preparation for Kokoda)… it’s a nine kilometre return trip and quite hilly.”
Ms Andrews said the trip would provide a unique opportunity for participants.
