Balranald residents have given their post office the stamp of approval after it recorded the third highest customer satisfaction rate in NSW.
Owners David and Christine Leggatt said they have enjoyed helping people connect with the world for the past 10 years, albeit with technological advancements and the constant friendly banter behind the counter.
With a customer satisfaction score of 9.67 out of 10, the Balranald Post Office has been recognised within NSW’s top five post offices. The national average was 9.35.
The couple were shocked when the news was hand-delivered to them on Monday.
“The community are great and most are always patient, except when we joke that their parcel has not arrived when it actually has,” Mr Leggatt said.
“We have a lot of elderly customers coming in to pay their bills and post letters, but often they get frustrated with the online world.
