SWAN Hill will feature in this year’s statewide motorcycle milk run to help raise awareness of the silent struggles of depression and anxiety.
The Black Dog Ride will travel more than 2000 kilometres through all the heartlands of dairy regions in support of struggling dairy farmers.
The route, announced last week, will see no more than 100 motorcycles roar from Bendigo to Swan Hill, via Kerang, on October 23.
They will then visit farmers and attend social functions at Halls Gap, Warrnambool, Sorrento, Bairnsdale and Wodonga across seven days before wheeling into Shepparton.
The initiative was launched in 2009 after Steven Andrews attended the funeral of his best friend’s wife.
