ELEGANT and timeless outfits won out at yesterday’s Fashion on the Field contest with classic race-wear styles proving the trick to success.
Ladies favoured an A Line silhouette with many sporting midi skirts topped off with leather head-wear.
Fashions on the Field judge and Country Racing Victoria’s Bree Laughlin said the Swan Hill fashions fielded a quality range of entrants, rivalling all other country racing events.
Ms Laughlin, a past Murray Downs Golf and Country Club Swan Hill Cup ambassador, said the trick to successful winter race-wear was to tie together different textures.
