Ready for a new adventure

THE number 13 may be considered unlucky for some, but for Sea Lake couple Steven and Jenine Malley, it signals a time of change and new beginnings.

For 13 years the couple have owned and operated the Sea Lake post office but following its recent sale, they are preparing to bid farewell to the shopfront and town they have called home for the past decade.

The couple started at the post office on February 1, 2003.

They made the move to the Mallee from Canberra where ironically they had also lived for 13 years.

At the time Steven was a meteorologist, while Jenine managed a school canteen.

While working in a post office was unfamiliar territory for the duo, the Mallee wasn’t.
