SWAN Hill’s top basketball side have a chance to push a case for the playoffs this season as they prepare for a double-header in Round 11 of the Country Basketball League (CBL).
The Lady Flyers have improved from ninth place to seventh place and have beaten some of the better sides in the competition this year.
This weekend they will face the struggling Castlemaine Lady Cannons, who are currently last, at home, before heading to Wangaratta to take on the eighth placed Warriors.
Swan Hill are currently seventh and could push themselves further ahead of their opponents, meaning if results went their way, they could end the weekend just one victory outside of the top four — a far cry from the side who made its debut in round of this year’s CBL.
Swan Hill Lady Flyers head coach Sharon Denham said her side was working on the simple points of their game heading into the final five matches of their season.
