5 Rivers Festival on track for success

THE 2015 5 Rivers Outback Festival will be bigger and better than ever, as this year the festival merges with the 150th anniversary celebrations of Balranald Central School.

Running over the second weekend of October, the three day festival, now in its fifth year, will kick off on Friday, October 9 with activities at the school.

Paul DeAraugo and rising country music sensation Amber Joy Poulton will perform, plus young regional talent Jett Charman and Swan Hill band Keg.

On Saturday, Balranald’s main street will turn into a catwalk for the fashion parade, and on Sunday Market Street will transform into its namesake as stallholders from all over the region set up shop for the Sunday Fair.

Chefs, crafters and antique hunters will get their fix all weekend long with an array of art antiques and collectables plus a cooking and craft show.

Tickets are currently on sale for the much anticipated Riverside Bash, held at Balranald Caravan Park on Saturday night — head to the website for tickets.

5 Rivers Outback Festival runs from Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11.

All details are on the Facebook page.
