Tigers thrilling in third win

WOORINEN recovered from a shaky start to record its second win in three games against Strathfieldsaye on Sunday.

After conceding the first three goals, the Tigers had their work ahead of them but were equal to the task in their first ever Bendigo Junior Football League youth girls home game.

The Storm started strongly to kick the first three goals and have a 13-point lead at quarter time, but it was Woorinen that held firm in the second quarter with four goals to nothing.

An even second half saw the Tigers take out an exciting 8.8 (56) to 5.1 (31) win, with a third quarter goal in to the breeze proving to be a crucial turning point.

Sharni Ferrari booted an incredible five goals, with the full forward being the most influential offensive player and among the Tigers’ best.

On-baller Jordyn Jolliffe was named best on ground, with ruck Jemma Meehan also playing a critical role.
