A feast for the senses

FROM delicious international dishes to toe-tapping multicultural performances, Swan Hill Harmony Day was a feast for the senses.

More than 3000 people joined in the festivities at Riverside Park on Saturday.

Organiser Kim Bennett described the 2015 event as one of the biggest and best since its inception six years ago.

“I know that because we kept running out of things – we had to do a mad dash for forks and spoons at one point,” she said.

Ms Bennett, creative arts facilitator at Regional Arts Victoria, said the food stalls were a big hit once again, with more than 10 nationalities represented in that area alone.

“I think we sold 50 percent more than what we would usually sell,” she said.

There were several new additions to the performance program, including the Swan Hill Ukelele Group and local band Drowning Sorrows.
