Water park back at Boga

INSPIRED by their travelling adventures around the world, Mildura-born sisters Adele and Gabrielle McGlynn are trying to lift the spirits of Lake Boga locals with a quirky summer attraction.

For the second summer in a row, the entrepreneurs have set up the Raw Spirit Water Park on the lake, located just off the jetty.

The park is a recreational obstacle course that encourages a healthy way of having fun and boosts confidence, according to Adele.

“It’s an obstacle course but you can do whatever you like when you’re out there,” she said.

“We’ve increased the challenge level [from last year] to make the kids really think about how they’re going to get around it.”

Not only is the water course a recreational attraction for children, it has also been used by sporting groups for fitness and training in the past.

Adele said her and her sister wanted to bring the exciting kind of experiences they had travelling around the world to a local country community.

“When we came back we wanted to embody some of the things that we experienced in our travels.

“So we wanted to do something that was fun and different and that still involved water.

“We’re originally from the country so we know what it was like for kids, having to make their own fun, so we wanted to do something for them.”

The park is open throughout December and January, closing up after Australia Day.
