FOR the past 32 years, Kaye and Barry Townley have opened their home during the festive season to share their Christmas display with the people of Swan Hill.
Dressed up as Santa Clause and Mrs Clause, the couple handed out lollipops and presents to children as parents enjoyed a drink or two.
Their home became known as Santa’s House.
With so much generosity to give, it is hard to believe that the couple has been hit with devastation.
Just two months ago, Kaye was diagnosed with Leukaemia.
After nine chemotherapy treatments in Melbourne, the couple has made the heartbreaking decision that Santa’s House will not be continuing.
Barry, who also played Santa at many locations in Swan Hill, including schools, stores and the CBD, will not be doing so anymore.
“I’ll be looking after her,” Barry said.
