Interleague side takes shape

HUGH Foott is putting the finishing touches on the Central Murray Football Netball League’s interleague side.

Foott said he was disappointed with numbers at training on Tuesday but would trim the list further after this weekend’s matches.

“We plan to cut it down after this weekend’s games, we’ll look at who’s played well and so on,” he said.

“Hopefully we get a few more [to training] next week and we’ll be ready to go.”

Foott said he anticipated a tough contest against Nepean, which was previously merged with Mornington Peninsula.

“Obviously they’re going to be a strong league. We definitely have the job in front of us, especially travelling away,” he said.

“But we’ve got a pretty good list to take down there. We are going to take some blokes that are fairly strong over the footy and some who are quick over the ground.”
