Woorinen hangs on

WOORINEN held on for a comfortable first innings win over Ultima TUF at Alan Garden Memorial Reserve when the Swan Hill District Cricket Association’s 12th round finished on Saturday.

The visitors batted first and set a target of 163 last week, with Ultima TUF resuming with openers Andy Abbott and Daniel Leach at the crease.

Both went out cheaply however, with Toby O’Grady’s 28 being the eventual top score as the home side slumped to be all out for 89.

Guri Singh put in a sterling performance for Woorinen with the ball, taking 6/33.

RSL strengthened its grip on top spot with a big outright win over Lakers.

Played at Lake Boga, RSL had set a strong total of 207 last week before dismissing Lakers for 46.

Making the home side bat again, RSL soon had Lakers at two wickets down before stumps.

On Saturday the rot continued for Lakers, with Duane Bruton taking 7/15 off nine overs for RSL as the home side was all out for 26.

St Mary’s Tyntynder recorded an outright win over Tooleybuc Manangatang at Tooleybuc.

After making 206 last week, St Mary’s dismissed the home side for 115 in its first innings, with Robin Sebastian and Matt Heffer taking three wickets each.
