Georgia follows animal instinct

The thought of a lost and stray animal is simply heartbreaking for Swan Hill
local Georgia Barr.

With any animal being like a “baby” to her, Ms Barr is
constantly doing all she can to rescue animals.

Over the years she has
rescued numerous dogs and cats bringing them home, and finding them new
owners.

“If I could have it my own way, I’d have 10 dogs at home,” she
said.

Her love for animals has seen her participate in numerous fundraising
events for animal groups.

Involving herself in cupcake drives and charity
walks, next March will see her doing something out of the ordinary.

Ms Barr
will spend a night sleeping outside in a bid to experience what it’s like for a
homeless animal.

“I don’t like thinking too much about what it’s like for
[homeless animals] because it really makes me quite upset. I just want to raise
awareness about the issue and some money,” she said.

The fundraising event
ultimately raises money for RSPCA.
