Off and racing

MURRAY Mallee Racing is encouraging those heading to this weekend’s Agfarm
Manangatang Cup Races to book ahead as part of the recently announced Raceday
Attraction Program.

Those who book their tickets online will go into the
running to win one of five prizes of $1000.

The Victorian government-funded
program aims to attract new audiences to the state’s racetracks by providing
activities for all members of the family.

Member for Swan Hill Peter Walsh
said activities would include fun for the kids.

“Families can enjoy the free
children’s entertainment at this year’s Cup, including segway rides, a jumping
castle and temporary tattoos,” Mr Walsh said.

Manangatang Racing Club
president Des Ryan said the club was grateful for the government’s support with
this project.

“We are delighted to be able to put together such a great offer
for our patrons, and the funding received will be a great boost for our small
country club,” Mr Ryan said.
