SWAN HILL

Accident:

THE rider of a green trail motorbike has sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Melbourne Hospital and his passenger was transported to Swan Hill Hospital, after the bike appears to have lost control and rolled while carrying a passenger on River Road, Swan Hill just before midday on Monday, August 4.

Police are asking for anyone that may have dashcam or CCTV footage of a green trail bike being ridden around Swan Hill this morning, to contact Swan Hill Police on 5036 1600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Theft from motor vehicle:

A SET of keys was removed from an unlocked vehicle parked at the rear of Campbell Street, Swan Hill between 5pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, August 2.

Driving under the influence of alcohol:

A DRIVER with a New South Wales learners permit was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.066 while driving in Swan Hill at 4.30am Saturday, August 2.

Police undertook a preliminary breath test where they intercepted the driver at Albert Street which returned a positive result, before he was given an evidentiary breath test at the police station.

The 18-year-old received a penalty notice for driving unaccompanied and for driving or being in charge of a vehicle with above the prescribed concentration of alcohol in their system, resulting in a six month suspension of his license.
