Broad wins pre-selection

FORMER Victorian Farmers Federation president Andrew Broad has won pre-selection
to stand for The Nationals in the seat of Mallee at September’s federal
election.

The seat has been held by outgoing Member for Mallee John Forrest
since 1993 with the long-serving MP announcing his decision to retire from
federal politics ahead of this year’s election.

Mr Broad won the
pre-selection in Warracknabeal from a field of five candidates.

He is a
37-year-old primary producer and is the former President of the Victorian
Farmer’s Federation.
