A ‘BEST of the best’ of the region’s bridal specialists have put their heads together to hatch a plan for Swan Hill’s inaugural Bridal and Debutante Expo.
The collaboration of business women oranising the event is turning out to be a match made in heaven, they said.
Event committee member and owner of Hippbotts Children’s Boutique Kate Adams said the response from Swan Hill businesses in preparation for the event — to be held later this month — had been overwhelming, and confirmed the need for an ongoing bridal and debutante event in the region.
Ms Adams said the idea for a local wedding event had snowballed following a casual conversation among a small group of friends, who all happen to be local business women.
“[One of the girls] mentioned wanting to do it to showcase what local businesses have to offer for the industry,” she said.
“It really just snowballed from there, everyone was excited about it and wanted to be involved,” she said.
And while the idea has also attracted plenty of interest from businesses outside the local region, this year’s not-for-profit event will focus exclusively on businesses in Swan Hill and surrounding areas.
