Cabin gutted

A FIRE at the Nyah Two Bays Caravan Park in the early hours of Boxing Day morning has gutted a residential cabin and left adjoining
residences with minor structural damage.

Residents and guests at the caravan
park were evacuated when the fire took hold at about 12.20am on Wednesday
morning.

Three CFA trucks — two from Nyah-Nyah West and one
from Woorinen South — attended the scene to confine and extinguish the
fire.

Nyah-Nyah West CFA captain Brian Lewis said the fire was “fully
involved” by the time fire-fighters arrived at about 12.30am on Wednesday
morning

An electrical fault is suspected to
have sparked the blaze, but a criminal investigation into the cause is ongoing.
