IN A thick red and white suit in 40 degree heat, being mobbed
for photos with young and old, one man exhibits the patience of Saint Nicholas.
This year marks 30 years since yuletide enthusiast Barry Townley erected his
famous light display, and 20 years since he first took on a very special
job.
“It feels good to brighten it up here in Swan Hill… especially with so
much going on with all the sadness and everything in the world,” Mr Townley
said.
“I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope 2013 is cheerful and happy
for all.”
