RACECOURSE

ON Friday, May 24, we held our election for our selectors and our match committee ahead of the upcoming pennant season.

The following are our selectors: Shane Domaille, Fay Devereux, Peter Loughran and Norm Smith. The match committee will be comprised of Kevin Vivian, Graeme Bennett, Glenn McIntosh and Helen Frame.

We also have a committee of four looking at trying to get a grant for a synthetic green, which also includes a roof over it, with the aim of the club to support the bowlers of the district and enable them to play bowls in the heat of our summers.

On Sunday, May 26, we held our first Tasco Triples with very good numbers turning out in perfect weather conditions.

The highlight for the day was the six gentlemen we had playing who were all over 90 years of age.
