Assembly of God

SWAN Hill Assembly of God extends an open invitation to join together this Easter as we reflect and celebrate our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This year, let us come together as a united body through Christ as we continue our journey through these troubling times.

Our strength is our faith and our faith is strengthened through joining together.

Good Friday there will be a 10am service of praise and worship.

On Resurrection Sunday, there will be two services – a dawn prayer and praise service at 6.30am followed by a breakfast barbecue (it will be cold, so rug up). At 10am, we will have our praise and worship service with communion.

These services will be held at our new venue, the scout hall, at the Ken Harrison Reserve, Yana Street, Swan Hill.

EASTER Message from Pastor La’Mont:

This is Easter weekend, and we are struck by the love and generosity of your God in giving to us the greatest gift, Jesus.

His week was a week of reflection on the last of the journey of Jesus before he give his life as a sacrifice for our sins.

This reminds me of the words of John the Baptist: “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world’.” John 1:29.

Easter brings with it a mixed bag of thoughts and emotions.

Sadness because of what my sin caused, the sadness of the price Jesus had to pay to free me from my sin but joy that he was willing to pay for the debt of my sin, joy because the Father’s heart and love were revealed to us.

Whatever heartfelt emotion you may experience, may it lead you to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the cross of Calvary.

Last supper is Thursday at 6pm. Bring a picnic dinner, bible reflection and shared last supper.

Good Friday service is at 10am followed by hot cross buns.

Easter Sunday service 10am all are welcome.

As it is the school holidays, all of our in-house activities are having a break.

Stay safe and have a blessed Easter.
