Anglican Parish
During January, church life, like the community, slows down as we prepare for 2023.
Services and pastoral care to the sick, bereaved and those in need are always available, and our catering group has been active, too.
This Saturday, the Boot Sale is on again at both sites, so come along and enjoy the offerings.
The Op Shop and Drop In Centre is open Wednesdays and Fridays during the school holidays, so enjoy a visit and pick up a bargain or three. During January, the floors are refurbished and this gives it all a fresh look. The Men’s Shed will resume too, so lots for everyone.
Grain Shed News
With the new year well and truly in motion and with comments like, “oh, we are already half through January”, let us consciously try to slow down. Live the moment, be present, and not impatient for the next thing.
“But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.”
Deciding to move at a slower pace will definitely improve the quality of our lives and our relationships.
Here at the Grain Shed, all our inhouse activities are still in holiday mode and news will be coming soon with start-up dates.
All are welcome to come along this Sunday at 10am for our Sunday service and why not stay around afterwards in fellowship.
Grainshed Kids on-site will start for Term 1 on Sunday, January 29 and finish with an Easter Jingle Jam on Sunday, April 2 (Palm Sunday). The dates for this term are as follows:-
January 29; February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2.
