This Sunday 10am our doors are open to all. Come along, invite a friend and stay after the service in fellowship. Recordings of past sermons can be found on www.thegrainshed.churchcenter.com.
The Grain Shed Kids desk is open from 9,45am for all children aged 3 to Grade 6.
At Monday 10am our Mainly Music program starts with an interactive music session for little ones with their mums or dads, carers or grandparents, followed by morning tea for all and play time.
Cost is $5 per family.
Every Thursday 10am-noon our craft ladies meet.
Gather – calling all lovely ladies who like to sit, eat good food, craft, or just hang out. Put this date in your calendar. Saturday, August 31 at 10am to 4pm, morning tea and lunch provided for a gold-coin donation. RSVP reception@thegrainshed.org.au, or call 5032 9449.
The Samaritan’s Purse’s appeal Operation Christmas Child is happening now, Shoeboxes are available at the Grain Shed, or recycle an old shoebox. It saves $1 each, which can go to filling boxes with clothes, school supplies, toys and personal-care items.
With every box there is an opportunity to tell a child about God’s love, His Son Jesus Christ, and bring joy to many children around the world.
Anglican Church
DURING the communion service on Sunday in Swan Hill a new stained-glass window was dedicated by Rev Julie and Rev Denis. Long-term members of the congregation Frank and Jan Sharam donated the window in memory of their daughter Jodie, who was an active member of this church until she finished school. Come in and see this beautiful and thoughtful window.
The Boot Sale on Saturday was a great time despite the weather. Thank you to all those people who contribute in any way to this community event. Donations of good-quality used items are gratefully received. Furniture and larger items are sold from behind Anglicare.
On Wednesday the Op Shop continued its $5 bag sale, the Men’s Shed was operating, and there was the regular 10am communion service followed by a Mothers’ Union meeting.
Thursday saw several men gather for coffee and a chat at one28 Doors and Thursday’s evening Prayer was held at 5pm. All are welcome to attend all of the above.
Beautiful Anglican Church calendar orders are now being taken at the Swan Hill office. Please place your order along with payment of $16.50 soon.
