Tribunal suspends three players

THE Central Murray and Golden Rivers Football Leagues has imposed sanctions for three separate incidents from matches played across the previous two weeks.

Logan Nalder, of Mallee Eagles Football Netball Club, has accepted a two-match suspension.

Nalder was found guilty of intentionally or carelessly striking another person in his side’s 120-point loss to Kerang on the weekend as a result of an umpire report.

With the Eagles having only two games left this season due to this weekend’s bye and only being a mathematical chance of playing finals, it is most likely Nalder won’t be seen until Round one next season.

Following an investigation after a round 15 incident against Koondrook-Barham, an underage Lake Boga Football Netball Club player was sent straight to an independent tribunal, where he received a two-match penalty with a further two-match suspended sentence which will expire at the end of the 2023 season.

The player was found guilty of intentionally or carelessly striking another person.

In the Golden Rivers, an underage player from Macorna Football Netball Club received a two-match ban for intentionally engaging in rough conduct against the opposition in the under 17.5 match against Hay.
