Our presentation evening was held last Friday, with the following members receiving their prizes.

Ladies Singles winner – Diane Millsteed. Runner-Up Heather Smith.

Ladies Pairs winners – Diane Millsteed and Lynda King. Runners-Up – Esther Grey and Heather Smith.

Men’s A Grade Singles winner – Vic Plumridge. Runner-Up – Brian Mansbridge.

Men’s B Grade Singles winner – Rod Wardle. Runner-Up – Alan Marshman.

Men’s Pairs winners – Tuppy Lewis and Barry Husson. Runners-Up – Graeme Clark and Alan Marshman.

100 Up winner – Lyndon Shadbolt. Runner-Up – Jim Thompson.

Our Friday Frolic is on this afternoon at the usual time of 3pm – all are welcome.

Our May Carnival starts tomorrow and Bill is still taking single or team entries for the 11 days. Contact him on 0428 324 083 or 5032 4083.

Catering will be available for the Carnival, with orders to be in before play. Names can be entered on the notice board in the clubhouse for our first Saturday dinner of chicken, veggies and sweets.

RACECOURSE

Firstly, good luck to Mark Snel, Mick Holyoak and John Ford in their State Triples match in Bendigo today.

Jackpot bowls on Wednesday afternoon was well attended with 35 players taking part – the winners were Neville Smith, Dawn Doran and Peter Hooper with two wins and +22 shots. The Runner’s-Up, with one win and +18 shots were Brian Bice, with Lance Hine and Som Pasco of Kerang. The lucky winners of the $300 jackpot were Val Lindsay, Kevin Vivian and Max Renney with +12.

On Friday, May 20, the club has dinner, double members’ draw, raffles, and entertainment. Cost is $25 with the entertainment to be provided by Paul Rovere – names on the board by the 18th May.

Sunday, May 22, is our club’s next weekend event – our Tasco Triples, casual dress.

LAKE BOGA

Saturday’s winners were Neville Smith, Max Lord and Connie Rovere, while Runners-Up were John McCormack, Lyn Maher and Ray Leach – with the jackpot going up to $345 tomorrow.

Our presentation night will follow, starting with a shared meal from 6.30pm and music from 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome, with names to be in to the club by 10.00am Saturday.

On Wednesday we played two-four-two with twenty-four players. Winners were Bones Smith and Ted Hyland, with Runners-Up being Les Barnes and Janet Hamill.

Next week some Lake Boga primary School students plan to try out our new Rookie Rollers game on Monday and Friday afternoon – our members can come along and support the students from 1.45pm.
