Rotary donates money to We Believe in Unicorns

MONEY raised by Swan Hill Sunrise Rotary Club at the Swan Hill Market has been donated to We Believe in Unicorns Inc to support children facing medical hardship.

The club presented the $500 donation to We Believe in Unicorns Inc representatives Karen Mott and Jan Hurley at the club’s weekly meeting, after the members unanimous decided to support the not-for-profit.

Club president Kayla Adams said the members agreed that We Believe in Unicorns Inc aligns with their mission.

“Swan Hill Sunrise Rotary Club is focussed on youth and mental health, so giving a donation back to We Believe in Unicorns was most appropriate,” she said.

“The club looks forward to working together with We Believe in Unicorns in the future to continue to better the lives of people in need in our local Swan Hill community.”

We Believe in Unicorns Inc operates the revived Swan Hill Market on the first Sunday of each month at Riverside Park.

According to We Believe in Unicorns Inc, families who must travel to Melbourne to access medical treatment often face overwhelming financial challenges, including medical bills, travel expenses, meeting mortgage payments and even basics like food.

Swan Hill Sunrise Rotary Club raised the money through a BBQ at the Swan Hill Market.
