100 days of school fun

PREP students in Swan Hill and surrounding towns celebrated their 100th day of schooling last week.

The students dressed up as 100-year-olds for the day and took part in activities and crafts that reflected their time at school so far.

Prep teachers said they were proud of their students for their accomplishments in learning at school.

St Mary’s Primary School foundation teacher Beth Caruso said the new students had gotten off to a flying start.

“The students were so proud of their crafts and activities and it was a joy to witness their enthusiasm for learning,” she said.

Lake Boga Primary School teacher Rachael Bryan said students had loved reading, writing and numbers in the 100 days they had been “learning by the lake”.

“They have used our school values to become safe, respectful, responsible learners and we couldn’t be more proud of them,” Ms Bryan said.

Swan Hill Primary School foundation teacher Rachael Sheehan said it was exciting to see her students grow.

“It’s amazing how much they grow in their confidence in the first 100 days.

“It’s so delightful to see how much they love to be here.

“They come in every single day and learn something new and build on their skills,” she said.
