Update on fire control numbers
WITH the start of the fire season this month, I had better get the new numbers right as they have been updated and the old numbers will no longer divert to the new numbers.
It would be good if you would put these in your phone or write them down somewhere.
The new office hours number is (03) 5898 4100. The new fax number is (03) 5898 4158.
The on-call duty officer can be contacted at any time for emergencies on (03) 5898 4197.
Their email is midmurray.zone@rfs.nsw.gov.au.
Rain forecast
AT the time of writing, we have had 5mm of rain, with a bit more forecast.
By the time you read this, we should have got wet with another 5mm or 10mm predicted.
Let’s hope they are right as it will finish off most crops in our district.
Plenty of rice going in
THERE are many farmers in the district that will use their stored water as well as their allocation to grow rice again.
This will be great for our region as rice employs plenty of people as well as machines.
Rice puts plenty of cash back into our district and Australians can eat Australian rice again instead of that imported crap.
Daylight saving start
WHAT a crock of s***.
If I am late getting somewhere for something, it is probably because it always takes me a week or three to change my watch.
This is just my own personal protest against this bulls***.
I hate it and I am looking forward to the end of it after four days.
My curtains have already started to fade, the chooks have gone off the lay and will not even start on what it has done to the milking cow.
