Ice cold beers were flowing at a pub north of Balranald as the mercury reached boiling point for patrons on Saturday.
The mercury reached 52 degrees at 2pm at the back country Homebush Pub, 27km north of Balranald.
“Basically, we had every known fan and air-conditioner at max potential,” publican Troy Brown said.
“It’s a record scorcher in the year that I have been here and others have said the same.
