Club officials at St Mary’s Tyntynder Cricket Club have urged hoons to stop ruining their game after all four pitches were damaged from tyre marks at Ken Harrison Reserve at the weekend.
Players arrived at the reserve on Saturday morning to find tyre marks over their freshly curated pitch, which was only starting to regrow after it was vandalised two months ago.
“We are just fairly disappointed and a bit annoyed,” club president Jared Halligan said.
“This time it’s just even worse and will take even longer to grow back.”
Mr Halligan said access to the oval was usually restricted to vehicles but a padlock to a gate went missing earlier in the week.
