THE Swan Hill Showgrounds have benefited from works completed by participants in the Work for the Dole program, whose handy-work included new chicken coops and a new-look poultry pavilion. According to the Swan Hill District Agricultural and Pastoral Society president Reg Packer, the work provided a huge advantage to the showgrounds. “Over the course of six months the program participants completed a lot of repair and maintenance work including a full revamp of the poultry pavilion,” Mr Packer said. “It has been moved to a new area and has new cages and stands. “The result is a bigger and better set-up.”
