TOOLEYBUC resident Tracey Domaille has achieved a milestone not many people can put their name to.
This past Easter, Ms Domaille raised her 100,000th dollar for the Good Friday Appeal, which raises money for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
The Tooleybuc mother of three has been holding a spinning wheel and raffle at Tooleybuc Sporting Club, as well as shaking tins for donations on the Tooleybuc Bridge, for the past nine years.
The spinning wheel event has grown over the years to become a Tooleybuc tradition after Ms Domaille’s uncle, Bob Main, started it about three decades ago to raise funds to initiate a junior football club for the town.
It soon became an Easter tradition to raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal, as Mr Main’s brother spent a lot of time at the Royal Children’s.
However, in 2007 Mr Main passed away around Easter time and Ms Domaille took it upon herself to carry on the tradition.
