Moula bares all

MOULAMEIN Football and Netball Club have joined the ranks of Playboy bunnies the world over.

A saucy club calendar was released last month featuring members of the club as nude centrefolds in a variety of sporty situations.

Highlights from the calendar include an 83-year-old Peter Jackson riding a lawnmower completely starkers, Guardian columnist China Gibson as a bare-cheeked footy umpire and a group of naked netballers at the goal circle.

MFNC’s Katarni Lipp said funds raised from the sale of the saucy wall diaries will be directed towards netball court renovations.

“We’re looking at totally redoing the entire netball court — sensors, lights, resurfacing and sheds,” she said.

“Our grand goal is in the vicinity of $300,000 to $350,000 but what better way to start than start little?”

Every cent raised from the $20 calendars goes straight to the renovation fund, with the club generating enough money from advertising and birthdays to cover the cost of printing.

The production for the calendar was done locally with photographer Rebecca Gray in charge of capturing the cheeky moments and graphic designer Paula McKindlay supplying the finishing touches.

And Ms Lipp assured The Guardian the photo shoots weren’t an awkward affair.

“We’re all reasonably comfortable around each other, [although] some ended up in a lot less than they expected to but they said it was one of the braver things that they’ve ever done.”

Two hundred calendars are still available for $20 from the Moulamein Newsagency, or contact Courtney Atkins on 0429 646 942 to pick up in Swan Hill.
