RAINS brought a welcome drink to some gardens across the Mallee on Sunday while others didn’t receive a drop.
Heavy rain set in Sunday evening for some residents with reports varying from 2ml to 35ml. Other areas such as Tresco received patchy showers on Monday, with levels differing from neighbour to neighbour.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) Swan Hill has experienced some slightly cooler weather since Saturday. Temperatures dipped from 38 degrees on Friday down to 33 degrees over the weekend. The only rainfall measured in Swan Hill by BOM so far this year was 0.4ml on Monday.
Geoff Nalder farms at Ultima and received varying rainfalls across his property.
“We had 35ml in one gauge and zero in another,” he said.
