COLOUR your Run will return next year with the proceeds going toward the fundraising effort to bring a hospice to Swan Hill.
Following on from last year’s fun run, organised by TAFE and Women Touched by Cancer, Swan Hill Sunrise Rotary Club and the hospice committee are partnering to run the 2016 event, to be held at Riverside Park on Sunday, March 6.
An organising committee has been formed with representatives from both Rotary clubs, the Lions Club, Swan Hill District Health, the hospice committee, last year’s Colour your Run committee, and Swan Hill Rural City Council’s Economic Development Unit.
As well as hosting three, six and nine kilometre runs, the event organisers are planning family entertainment options such as a jelly fight, music and food.
The Swan Hill Farmer’s Market will also be held alongside the run.
While traditionally participants would run through colour hot spots, this year small individual packets of colours will be made available, along with regular ‘shout outs’ to join in colour bombing hot spots in front of the stage.
