A SOUTH Australian man has been refused bail after he was allegedly caught trafficking $67,000 worth of methamphetamine and cannabis just three days after being bailed for trafficking offences.
Hieu Dao represented himself when he appeared in Swan Hill Magistrates’ Court to apply for bail on Monday.
The Lake View man was in custody in Swan Hill, on charges of trafficking cannabis and methamphetamine.
Earlier the same day, Dao was allegedly found by police sleeping in a hire car parked on Runciman Road, off the Murray Valley Highway about 4.36am.
Police said when asked why he was sleeping in the car, Dao told them “he was tired and having a sleep because he hadn’t slept for days”.
