A MASSIVE dust-storm swept across the region on Saturday, after a cold front suddenly sprang up and moved across western Victoria.
Just two weeks after a thunderstorm ravaged the local area, people across the southern Mallee region braced themselves on Saturday night as the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe weather warning and forecast strong winds of up to 90kmh.
However, consternation soon turned to amazement as the rain held off and locals instead found themselves staring into the path of a wide wall of dust travelling northwards across the region.
Starting from as south as Donald around 7.30pm, the dust gathered momentum and swept across Wycheproof, Lalbert and Lake Boga before reaching Swan Hill around 9pm.
Residents in Kerang also reported the storm hitting them at the same time.
