Charlie’s super singles win

THE heat didn’t stop any junior tennis participants last Saturday morning. Charlie Bryan had a super singles win in the orange ball competition.

Thomas Caffrey and Ashby Rogers played incredibly close matches drawing all morning. Georgie Cameron and Josh Rogers came out on top at the end of the day.

Lily Grey and Noah Drummond came together and had an awesome victory in the green ball competition.

There was no winner in the singles between Arlee Bennett and Nicholas Taylor both battling hard to end in a tie. Hannah Storer, Gabby Cameron and Wil Bennett ended their day on a high note winning their singles comfortably.

The boys in the Tomic team practised their tiebreaker skills this Saturday with many close matches across the scoreboard. Kobe McCaig and Darcy Farrell had extremely close matches all morning, their final scores were even.

Campbell Kelly, McKinnon Rogers and George Smith hit great winners in their singles.

Charlotte Angus and Emily Free had a big win in their doubles and singles.

Sophie Brumby and Abbey Delmenico also outscored their opponents on the scoreboard. Tianna Molloy hit some lovely shots in her doubles.

The young players in the Djokovic team had a pretty positive morning. Xavier Sherlock won all his matches and Emma Gilbee had a great morning too.

Jasmine Martin was all smiles at the end of the morning after playing well in her singles and Pippa Lewis hit some smashing shots in her singles to ensure victory.

Lleyton McLean and Sophie Reed had some wonderful singles wins.

After practicing his diving skills, Noah Sherlock won a comfortable singles victory.

Pat Storer won his singles to get his team over the line. Cooper Angus played well in his singles.

Injury forced Elise Morrison to retire from the rest of her matches but she’ll be back next week.

Chloe Taylor did a great job filling Lachee Hewitt’s shoes again this week hitting some awesome unpredictable shots.

Josie Glowery keeps stepping up and impressing, winning two of her matches.

Youngsters Declan Baker and Luke Rogers have been on fire each week also impressing their teammates.
